EVERY part of the body, so insignificant when seen collectively, but gets all the importance when taken one by one.

This time it is the sense organ of smell the nose and all that it connects with directly lungs, throat, esophagus, ears, eyes and the brain. Did you powder your nose? is what one may ask when they want to know if you are dressed up and ready.

This tiny projection from the face with two hidden tunnels ushering in air that contains Prana Shakti, is the most important part of the body. It serves us non-stop from birth until the last breath! Physical care of the nasal passages, problems with the sinus, throat and lungs is an important part that takes us to an ENT specialist whenever things get wrong.

Pranayama is that part of Ashtanga Yoga which is fully dependent on our capacity to draw in the air, fill up the lungs (which have the capacity to stretch a whole tennis ground!), retain the breath within and expel it out. Read more…
