Who doesn’t feel better after a yoga class? Yoga is the union of the body, mind and spirit. It stabilizes the nervous system, decreases blood pressure, increases flexibility and endurance, and opens you up in ways that you may not have imagined.

Simran used to be a yoga teacher. She loves the practice even though she hasn’t spent much time on her mat lately. (”Yoga on the inside, baby!”) Sarah gets her yoga on every week and knows it does her body good. Read more…

Enlighten Up! A Skeptic’s Journey Into the World of Yoga

I can’t remember the last movie I saw. I think it was ‘Across the Universe’ in Kauai nearly a year ago. There just hasn’t been anything out there that appeals to me, but then again, not watching tv or reading the newspaper, how would I know? LOL. There could be some earth-shattering, life-changing cinematography happening outside my window and here I sit oblivious – just me, my MacBook and the invisible intergalactic internet.

So when I got word of the movie Enlighten Up!, I had to have a closer look. Watching the trailer and reading the byline, this could very well be my story. Hell, this could be a LOT of yogis’ story. Skeptic turned devotee travels to India. [click to continue...]
